Our Designers at the Men's Fashion Week in Paris
Fashion week season is over. That being said, it's finally time to look back and give you the opportunity to throw a glance at the upcoming fall/winter collections of our brands. Therefor fashion editor Jean-Claude Mpassy from newkissontheblog.com accompanied our buying team to Paris and visited the shows of Issey Miyake Men, Junta Watanabe, Yohji Yamamoto and Y-3. Find his favourite looks and reviews below.
ISSEY MIYAKE FW18
"What I like about Issey Miyake’s Fall 2018 men's collection? It's basically for the everyman. The styles are smart and simple. The thin and soft structures of the clothes stands for the brands quality. Besides that I truly admire the chosen use of color ranges. They're bold, but never seem too much! All together, this collection proves once again, that high fashion can be wearable and accessible to every man out there."
JUNYA WATANABE FW18
"The Junya Watanabe Fall 2018 collection is once again all about functionality by continouing the collaborative looks with The North Face, Carhartt and Karrimor. This season Canada Goose and New Balance joined the table and received Junya Watanabe's famous workerwear-treatment. The eye-catching looks feature a great range of cargo pants, rain coats and jackets with carrying handles and yellow hi-vis stripes."
YOHJI YAMAMOTO FW18
"It's all about art when watching a show from Yohji Yamamoto. This season he surprised us with some red color-blocking and another round of his famous portraits that decorate his clothes. The well-known avangardistic silhouettes feature distressed turtlenecks, loose coats and long button-down shirts."
"Y-3 is back! After focussing on sneakers over the last few seasons, Yohji Yamamoto's sportswear brand Y-3 is finally refocussing on its clothes. The oversized silhouettes are monochrome and come in a variety of yellow and navy blue colors. Another highlight: The collaboration with NBA-player James Harden with an exclusive BYW Bball model. Can't wait to see this collection in store."
